23 weeks
So I haven't put a belly picture up for awhile so here it is. It isn't very good that is my lab in the background. I am hoping that last week was some kind of fluke because so far so good this week. She is also still very active. She has been awake and moving almost all day today. It still weirds me out but it lets me know she is ok. I am also very happy because if I wear the right shirt I don't really look pregnant from straight on just the side which means I still have some what of a figure just with a belly sticking out in front. We will see how long that lasts.
Let it Snow!
Between the ice storms and the snow storm we have had in the past week Jared was busy shovel snow and breaking up ice at both our house and at the Jacobs where he worked but he did earn a lot of money, which half of it went to buy him some new boots and a hat. Last weekend we were stuck inside because of the freezing rain and even lost power for about an hour. For those of you that have never experienced freezing rain it is exactly waht it sounds like. It is rain that freezes when it hits the gound so everything gets completely covered in ice, all the roads, your car while you are driving (that is why we stay home) even the trees and bushes are completely covered in ice which looks pretty cool. On thursday It took me 2 hours to get home from work because of the snow storm. I wanted to take the 4:30 bus home to be home at 5 but after waiting an hour (Jared had meet up with me at the bus stop by this time) we finally caught a bus that took us downtown and then after only 30 min wait downtown caught a bus (not our normal bus) that would take us close to our house and then we had a short walk in the snow to get home.

Tito seemed to enjoy the snow. I think there must have been a mouse or something under the snow because he kept sticking his whole head under the snow and moving around trying to find it. Jared finally had to make hime come in and lock the dog door so he couldn't go out again just to dave him from freezing trying to catch the mouse.

The Joys of Pregnancy
So I am sure that there are some people that enjoy being pregnant or there wouldn't be people who have 12 kids in this world. I have experienced a few. I enjoyed the ultrasound seeing a real little baby inside me and for the most part I enjoy when she is moving around so at least I know she is still in there, but is there ever an end to the not so pleasant part of pregnancy. I know I complain a lot about this, but being pregnant is not living up to my expectations. I thought I was starting to free better I even stopped my anti-nausea meds this weekend. I hadn't thrown up in three weeks so I thought it would be ok. The first day went fine no nausea, no throwing up so I skipped the medication another night and suddenly I have reverted back to my first trimester days. Monday I threw up 3 times. Twice at work and once in the parking lot at my friends apartment. So of course I resorted back to taking my meds every night, but it was too late the damage was done. Now it is Friday and I still feel constantly nauseated and and don't feel like eating, but if I don't eat then I throw up (you would think I wouldn't have anything to throw up). I weighed myself last night and I weighed 10 lbs less then I did a week and a half ago. So as you can see this isn't really about the joys of pregnancy but rather the not so joyful evens. And so although I am extremely excite to be going home to Utah in two weeks I am now not looking forward to the plane ride, at least it is shorter then a 18 hour drive.
Just to add this on I am extremely grateful to be pregnant and having this baby I just will be even more greatful when April comes!
