How much mess can one little girl make

Addi is getting so big and much more mobile. We went in for her 10 month check up and she had come from 10% to 18% so they are not to worried anymore. They just didn't like that she was dropping with every appointment. Addi crawl around everywhere and pulls herself up on everything. She loves to play with all of her toys and love her kitchen that was aunt Alissa's. The other day I needed to lay down, but Addi didn't want to take a nap so I took her in her room shut the door, pulled out a box of toys and laid on her floor while she played. She dumped all of her toys and shoes out and pulled all the clothes out of an open drawer. Now that all of her toys are out in her room she will crawl down to her room and play by herself. It is so nice that she is so independent so that I can get some stuff done around the house. However, I still need to keep a close eye on her or she will make a detour to the bathroom or hall closet on her way to her bed room. Despite being so independent she has her moments where she just wants her mommy especially when she doesn't feel good. I love my baby and despite getting frustrated with her little temper sometimes who could not love this cute little girl.

What is so funny?

Addi's favorite new thing to do is laugh. If she hears someone laughing she starts to laugh even though she doesn't know what she is laughing at. Yesterday in the Car when we went o pick of Dede she started to babble something off to Dede and then started laughing like she had said something really funny. She cracks up when Tito rips paper out of our hands and she thinks it is funny to play tug a war with Tito. I just can't help but laugh at my silly baby which of course makes her laugh more.
Other things Addi does that hasn't been documented on the blog are making spitting noises with her lips (she did this through the whole store when were shopping the other day), waving bye-bye (she always waved hi to people, but yesterday was the first time she waved bye bye), and giving hugs and big sloppy kisses when you ask for loves or kisses. Addi is growing up so fast and she gets into everything. She can crawl very fast and even stood all by herself the other day, but when she realized she wasn't holding on to anything she immediately sat down. Crawling is bad enough I don't even want to think about all the stuff she can get into when she starts alking.

Clearance Shopping

I love to go clearance shopping. Not the kind where you buy things you don't need just because it is on clearance just buying the stuff you know you will need and getting it while it is cheaper. I don't buy anything that isn't on sale. I buy all of Addi's clothes a season ahead so I have been getting all the very cute winter clothes that are on clearance. I may not get all the cute stuff before they are gone, but I still find cute things and don't pay more than $2. Right now Addi is wearing a pair of jeans that I paid 75 cents for this time last year at K-Mart. I bought several sizes since they were only 75 cents. She has the same pj is several sizes as well because they were only 99 cents and who cares the are pjs. Another favorite of mine is thrift shopping. Especially for baby clothes. People spend so much money on clothes for their baby and they hardly get to wear them. Addi's whole outfit she is wearing today cost me $5 and that includes jeans, shirt, sweater, and shoes (which I bought today at target for $2). I don't think I have bought Addi anything clothes wise that was more than $5 I even got her coats at kids works for $5 last year. I think that even when we actually have money I am going to keep buying used and clearance items. It is in my blood. My mom goes DI shopping at least once a week. It is a thrill to find such great deals. I am such a bargain shopper that I don't even pay full price at stuff (local consignment store) I go straight to the clearance rack where I buy things for anywhere from 20 cents to $2. Sometimes they still have new tags on them. Books for your kids are another thing I find dumb to pay full price for. The can get destroyed so easily. I love to go to crowded closet (a local thrift shop) and by board books. I have picked up several little books for Addi for 25 cents a piece.Plus why spend so much money when you can go to the library and get new books every week. You can even check out toys and videos from the library. Jared sometimes thinks it is funny that I am already getting things for Christmas when we don't have much money now and we will be getting a pay check by Christmas, but he will thank me when Christmas comes around and we don't have to pay 4 times as much to get the presents that I already have.

Good Days, Bad days, and Birthdays

It amazes me how different everyday can be with a child. I like most moms have my good days and my bad days. Last week Monday was one of those bad days. I was just not in the mood to do anything. I did not feel like being a mom (although I love my baby and would trade her for anything). To make things worse I knew that Jared was not going to be coming home until after 8, which meant that I was not in a mothering mood and I had to do it by myself all day. I think those days I know there is not a break insight are always worse. Addi is normally a really good baby, but lately she learned how to scream at me and she uses it as her main mode of communication. She wants to be picked up she screams, she wants to be put down she screams, she doesn't want to eat that she scream. You get the idea. I was at my wits end with all the screaming. I thought about yelling you scream one more time young lady... but I didn't I would never yell at or hurt my baby in anyway. I had got nothing done the house was a mess and I didn't now what to do with my baby. I was so on edge by the end of the day that when Jared called to get a ride home I yelled at him because he was making me leave in the middle of the Bachelor (I know I have become a little obsessed). Needless to say Tuesday was a much better day. I had fun playing with my baby and I even got the house cleaned and dinner made. I think I made dinner every night for the rest of the week. I decided that my day goes much better if I cook and clean and if I get out of the house. Getting out of the house makes my baby happy which makes me happier. Although I don't really like cooking and cleaning I feel less depressed and better about myself knowing that I am being a good wife and mother. I think sometimes I struggle feeling like I am not a very good wife, so if my husband comes home and tells me how good the house looks or thanks me for dinner it makes me feel better. So I decided that there are things that I need to do to make my day go better. I need a schedule to some what follow, but I also need to be flexible with it. I need to do something out of the house everyday like go to the store, go to the library etc (this one is hard because I had going out in the cold I hope it warms up soon) and I need to at least do the dishes so I feel like I am worth something. My days have gone a lot better in the last week since I started doing this. Yesterday was a grand day as it was my birthday. It started out not so good. My baby decided she wanted to wake up at 4 am and not go back to bed, so I finally just had to put her back to bed and cry herself to sleep. Then since it was Tuesday I had to weigh in for my biggest loser competition that I am in and I gained 2 pounds, but instead of letting the lack of sleep and weight gain get me down I got up and cleaned my house even though it was my birthday. My baby took a good nap so I got a nice warm shower and a nap myself and then when Jared was done we went up to Cedar Rapids to eat dinner at Red Robin my favorite. And of course my husband spoiled me and got me lots of presents. First I got lash lengthening mascara just because he thought the commercial was cool, and I got and exercise ball, resistant cord and hand weight, "the bean game" Bohnanza, and my favorite Photoshop CS4.
So now that I bored you with my rambling here are some pictures of Addi which is the only reason you really check this blog.
