Henrietta Two Feather

My Grandpa calls everyone Henry or Henrietta. Last summer when we were at his house in California my Cousin Keili was Henerietta One Feather, Taylor was Henerietta Two feather and Addi was Henrietta no feather (or Henerietta big toot, but that is another story. Well move over Taylor Addi is trying to move up in the Henerietta world. I mentioned in an earlier post that Addi's hair was getting longer and yesterday I put her hair in 2 little pigtails. She didn't like me doing her hair, but at least she left them in. I thought they looked so cute with her overalls. This week has been so nice and and we have spent more and more time outside. Addi got sidewalk chalk from the easter bunny and she likes to draw on the back patio. She is starting to notice more and more things. Yesterday she find a tiny little purple flower and very carefully she picked it, it was so cute.
For dinner we met Daddy at the park and we had a little picnic and photoshoot. Addi got her first kids meal! Also notice my awesome new stroller. I ordered a new jogging stroller and I love it. It even has adjustable handles so I can go walking with Addi without straining my neck and shoulders.

Random Thoughts

Am I weird if I look at my own blog often when my child is sleeping because she is so cute and I love looking at her pictures? I love the current blog header pictures she is so beautiful.

Does any of you moms out there feel guilty when you take a nap with your child? When she was first born I felt it was my right to take a nap. I was getting up multiple times during the day. Now that she sleeps through the night (most of the time) I feel guilty for taking a nap, but some days I am just exhausted. I guess I feel guilty because Jared doesn't get to take a nap at work. I feel like I should be cleaning or something which I try to do. If she takes 2 naps I can rest during one of them and clean during the other, but most days she only takes one nap.

Addi has been having some pooping problems so the drs want to clean her out so basically we are inducing diarrhea which is not fun for either of her. I changed 3 poopy diapers before 10 am today. I do not know how pregnant moms change their toddlers diapers. I am thinking that I will potty train Addi before getting pregnant or I might have to puke every time I change her diaper (I am a little sensitive when pregnant). A lot of time I can tell when Addi is going to poop. Sometimes I am tempted to buy her a potty chair and just have her sit on it to poop instead of letting her poop in her diaper and have to change it. When is to early to potty train. I am thinking that I should at least wait until we move and she can walk, but I am pretty sure she would like to go potty with mom and sit on her own potty.

I had more random thoughts, but forgot them as I was writing this so I am sure there will be more.

Easter Dress

We finally had some good spring days and we got some pictures of Addi in her pretty dress. Thanks Great Grandma Keep for the birthday money that paid for this dress.

Big Girl

Our baby is turning into a big girl. She doesn't want to walk but she can sure climb. She will climb on anything couch, little tykes table, whatever she can get onto.

The other day we looked over and found this

she had climbed up onto the couch and then continued to climb onto the back of the couch and stand up. Luckily we were right there I can't leave her for a min. She loves to be outside. That is all she wants to do. When Tito goes out his dog door she cries because she wants to go outside too. I have been going on walks with a friend of mine and then we stop at a park and let our girls play. Addi likes the swing.

She also loves to be the one to walk Tito. She holds onto his leash the whole time.

She is finally starting to get some hair. I think I could put 2 little ponytails in her hair if she would hold still long enough.

Yesterday I got a glimpse of what sibling riverly would be like. Tito got a little chirping chick in his Easter basket. Yesterday he was playing with it when Addi decided she wanted to play with it, so she took it. Then Tito went up and took it back. They went at it taking the toy from each other for awhile until they were playing tug a war with it. Then Addi got mad yelled dedo (tito) and pulled his hair. We better start teaching these two about sharing and next time the Easter bunny will bring them the dame toy.

Easter Fun

This was Addi's last first holiday. She had so much fun. I think she could enjoy this holiday so much more because she is older and more mobile. On Saturday we had an Easter activity and Easter egg hunt at our church. Addi colored a pictured sat very nicely eating her banana bread and listened to the Easter story and even found a few eggs. She loved that she found things inside the eggs. She likes to take the stuff out of the egg and then try and put it back in again. She loves reeses peanut butter cups who can blame her they are the best. Instead of an Easter basket Addi got an Easter wagon. I found this wagon at a garage sale last summer for $1 so I painted it pink and ruffed it up a little and it made a cute gift for my little girl. Addi was so spoiled. I filled the wagon up with all kinds of fun toys and then grandma and grandpa Duncan sent her an Easter package with more toys and books in it. Even Tito got an Easter basket, but he wasn't to sure about it. We had to make a trail of treats up to his basket so he would even look at it. Tito always get weird about holidays at Christmas he hid under a chair the whole time. Addi looked so pretty in her Easter dress and I will post those pictures in another post. I was hoping to get some cute pictures of her in her dress with the flowers outside but it was windy and cold so we will have to try another day when spring decided it wants to come and stay awhile.

Happy Birtday Tito!

Tito is now 3 years old. Someone commented that they thought once you had kids you stopped treating your dog like one of your kids, but we didn't. We had a birthday party complete with party favors for the guests. Dede's family came with their new puppy Shasha and some of Jared's classmates that have dogs came. Tito loves the big dogs he thinks he is a big dog sometimes. We roasted hot DOGS and had smores instead of cake. So I did cut back a little because for his first birthday I made a dog friendly birthday cake. Here are some pictures from the party.

Our little cowgirl

Addi had a cowgirl birthday party with all of her friends last weekend. It was fun. My husband thinks I went overboard and spent to much time for a first birthday, but I had fun. I stayed up until 2 am the night before sewing her cowgirl outfit. I followed a pattern for the shirt but everything else I made up myself. The first shirt I made was way to big to I had to alter the pattern a little.
These are the invitations I made. Aren't they cute. This is what Jared thinks I spent to much time on. They say "She is cute she is sweet she is so much fun our little cowgirl is turning one!"
Here is the table. I made a chocolate cake, star shaped sugar cookies (they were suppose to be sheriff badges but I didn't have enough time to finish them), pigs in a blanket, chips and salsa, fruit, and cheese & crackers. I tried to have cowboyish foods that one year olds can eat.
The recipe for the cake is on my mommy creations blog and the recipe for the cookies and royal icing will be up soon.
I found the cowboy boots at a local thrift shop and thought it made a cute little center piece with flowers in them.
Addi loved that Dede came to her party and wanted to be with her the whole time. Addi wanted to grab the flame on the candle.
Notice her nice shiner she got just before her birthday.
Here is the birthday girl with her daddy.
Addi got a ball pit, rocking horse and a little people farm so these were the entertainment for the party. The ball pit was a hit.
Here is all her friends that came to here party.
Here is our little cowgirl. I also took some one year pictures of her in her birthday dress check them out here.
