SLO:Monday

For a little vacation between dental school and residency we went to one of my favorite places San Luis Obispo, CA to relax and visit my grandparents.
We had fun at great grandma and grandpa's house with all of their fun toys.

We got to see great great grandma Hawthorne.

We played at the park with silly great grandpa.

We ate lots of good food. I always eat way to much when we go to grandma's house between all the resturants we have to go to and grandma's cooking I gain ~10 pounds. Grandma's soup comes with sticky ball free of charge. We went to get the soup to put it on the table and found this ball we had been throwing around in the soup. The soup had a lid on so we aren't quite sure how it got in there. We ate the soup anyways.

We went and visited Grandma's (my mom) best friend from high school Kendra.

Addi loved grandpa's kitty mugsy and would follow him all over.

We spent a lot of our time just relaxing and taking a break from our busy life.

We went downtown to get tritip sandwiches from firestone, frozen yogurt and to go shopping

And this was all in the first day.

Moving

Although we had yet to sell our house we had to move. We only had a few week between graduation and starting residency in CT and we had to move and go on vacation. Addi, Tito and I stayed in our empty house while Jared and his dad took all of our stuff to CT and then flew back for graduation. We slept on an air mattress and ate on the floor. Addi thought it was fun to have an empty house to play in and didn't seem phased by anything. Tito on the other hand was freaking out. I think we may have to get Tito some doggie therapy. First we take everything out of his house. Then we took him on a plane and left him at grandmas for a week, then we took him for a long car ride to another grandma's house and then we took him on another plane to a different empty house and then filled that house with all of his stuff. Tito seems to be adjusting better and has already claimed our new house as his own, but I was a little worried for awhile. More about our new home to come.

Doctor Sorensen

After 4 long years Jared is now a dentist. It all seems so weird. It seemed like we just started dental school yet it seems so far away. Here is Jared graduating.

We are so proud of you hunny!

Goodbye Iowa Friends

Christopher. Jared would go over to his house to borrow a tool or something and wouldn't ome back for hours because they would get talking. Who are we going to borrow all of our tools from now.

Addi and her friend Bailey.
Fresh Iowa salsa. I love it and it will be greatly missed.

Before we left Iowa our friends in our neighborhood threw us a BBQ. We sure our going to miss all of our friends in Iowa both our neighbors and our friends and church and school/work. We will especially miss having Bailey living across the street. Bailey was our new babysitter and Addi loves her. It is so convenient having her right across the street and she thought we were paying her to much when we paid her 5 dollars an hour.

Kansas City

For Memorial weekend we decided to take a trip to Kansas City to see some church sites and visit some friends before we left the midwest.
Addi did not like the car very much. She got very car sick and threw up multiple times while in the car poor girl.
On our way we stopped at Adam-ondi-Ahman.

And at Far West and Haun's Mill. There wasn't anything at Haun's Mill but we stopped and hung out at the temple site at Far West. Addi enjoyed crawling around and taking pictures of Daddy (yes Addi took the picture of Jared with my camera).

Then we finally got to Ashley's house and got to play with Abigail. Addi liked to chase Abby around in her walker and loved to go up and down the stairs. It was good practice since we will have stairs in our new house.

We went to the WOrld War I museum with some friends. We didn't make it in time to go inside but there was lots to see and do outside the museum.

Then on the way home we went to Liberty Jail and other random stops to break up the ride home. We found onther mormon trail spot, Jesse James farm, John Wayne's birth place and bridges of Madison county where we had a little photoshoot.

We had lots of fun and we will miss our friends Ashley, Jordan and Abigail.
