From CT to AZ-The big move July 2011

July was our big move from Bloomfield, CT to Glendale, AZ and it took us just over 2 weeks to get there. A little daunting thinking of driving clear across the country with 2 toddlers but we were off. Our first pit stop was Palmyra, NY to see a few Mormon Church history sites. This is the Palmyra Temple. We took a walk through the Sacred Grove. After Palmyra we were off to Niagra falls which was our stop for the night. I love the falls at night so pretty. Addi fell asleep on Jared's shoulders I'm surprised she didn't fall off. We did not realize that it was Canadian independence day and the only hotel we could find was a honeymoon sweet with a heart shaped bath tub which we turned into a baby crib.  Passing into Canada. We made sure we all had passports but forgot about Tito and had to have Tito's vet fax over some papers to our hotel in order to take him with us. Niagra falls in the daylight from the canadian side. Our entertainment driving through Canada there wasn't much to see. But we made it through to Michigan and Uncle Shawn's house. When you are moving across the country you make do with what you have i.e. stroller turned highchair. While at Uncle Shawn's we went swimming Played with all the animals We went to a 4th of July parade Saw some fireworks And had fun with sparklers First pit stop after leaving Uncle Shawn's was lake Michigan  Then the Corn Palace. While traveling through the mid west you find interesting sites to see. We survived a storm even if our bumper did not and we had to duck tape it back on :) Badland National park Mt. Rushmoore Independent Rock, WY Mormon Handcart site Another long day of driving before we finally made it to Utah and Grandma Dodge's house. We had a vintage photoshoot with cousins I thought these cherries from the neighbors tree were pretty Apparrently we let our 1 year old drink coke We had a Birthday Party for Aidan and Kollins Next stop Papa Horsey's Where we read books Fed the goat rode the tractor And then we had to get on our way Big Rock Candy Mountain Bryce Canyon National park Family of chipmunks  Daddy freaking mom out Zions National Park And we made it to Grandma Chewy's where we rode a carousel  Played at the splash pad Played in the dirt box And rode Grandma's new Razor And then we were off and our next stop was our new home in AZ
